Born in Kaohsiung in 1993, Sheng-Chieh WANG earned his MFA from the Graduate School of New Media Art, National Taiwan University of Arts. His oeuvre focuses mainly on the form of sound representation in the digital era, as well as the analysis of the interaction and fusion between the virtual and the real through the characteristics of digital replication and evolution. He was the first-prize winner of the 11th Digital Art Awards Taipei. His works were nominated for the 2016 Arte Laguna Prize, the 2017 Siggraph Asia Art Gallery, and the 2019 404 International Festival of Art and Technology. He has also been invited to stage is works both domestically and internationally. The artist lives and works in Taipei.
